The historian assembles and preserves the record of activities and achievements of the PTA and assists the president in preparing the quarterly and Annual Reports. Historian's records, like minutes and ledgers, should be kept forever. A copy of the unit charter as well as any other legal documents should be kept with the historian's records.
The historian is in charge of computing volunteer hours as well as keeping photographic records of special activities. The historian also should keep a list of officers and a record of recipients of special awards and recognition.
The Fremont Council historian collects quarterly unit reports for evaluation and sharing of information. The reports also include a membership total. Here are the quarterly reports as well as the Annual Report that Fremont Council units should fill out at the appropriate times. Please share your successes with others!
